Switching to Joomla

For quite some time now I was considering switching over to Joomla. For those of you who don’t know what the program does, it’s a free CMS program that does absolutely everything you could need a program to do. It’s used all over the world to power everything from a simple personal homepage to a more complex corporate based website. It can be used to easily manage every aspect of your website, from adding content and images to updating a product catalog or taking online reservations. There are thousands of plugins available for this program to give you everything you could possible need in order to make your website work for you. Up until recently, however, I was unable to locate a program that turned Joomla’s dynamic URLs into clean SEFS.

For those unsure of what I just said. I basically want Joomla’s base URL to be changed from:

http://www.domain.com/index.php?option=com_smf&ItemID=123

To the more simple

http://www.domain.com/pagename.html

SERR.bizConsider this personalized Joomla SEO if you may. I like the option of having my URL display without many extras, this really does help with search engine optimization. Today I came across Serr.biz, they’re a web design and blog marketing company that specializes in Joomla. So finding out that they’ve now written an add-on for Joomla that helps users in the world of SEO, really seems pretty cool to me. It’s currently in the BETA version due to an early-release, but I’m sure over time they’ll have the full version ready to go before you know it, it’s also completely free – cool huh?
