Getting the office in order…

While Sean and I have been in this office for a few months now, there’s still a lot of things that we need to do in order to accomplish the complete look and feel that we were going for. I’m trying very hard to remove the clutter, while he’s trying to get all of the electronics up and running.

Our computers have naturally been setup for the past few months. We don’t currently have the printer setup because we’re going to have to head out and pick up a few HP Toner Cartridges. We then need to get the scanner setup so it’s easier for me to work with clients. I’ve always found it easy to draw out the design and then scan it into the computer so this way the client gets a feel for the look I’m going for, without any actual Photoshop based work involved. Due to the lack of scanner I’ve been using my digital camera and for some reason my desktop just doesn’t appreciate my camera, so I really do need to get the scanner setup ASAP before I start running through with this next set of clients.

After that, there’s a lot of little things that need to be accomplished. While we do have storage in here, it isn’t really being utilized properly. I’m the kind of person that would rather gut everything completely, put it in the middle of the room, and then weed things out from there. Sean is more of the “Put it in the draw and we just can’t see it” kind of person, so while he may know where things are, this doesn’t make it easy for me to find something when he isn’t around. He hoards power chords though, something I never quite understood. This worked in my favor though, considering I lost the hookup for my printer. He’s got one that seems to do the trick, now if we could only set it up…things would be smooth sailing!
